Garden Path 2014
The project consisted of five interrelated components installed at Lynden Sculpture Garden as part of their Inside/Out series: Garden Path and Laundry Day were located on the grounds, Contemporary Plats, Two Legal Descriptions, and Backyard were in the galleries. The project explored landscape, private and public property, commemoration, and class.
Garden Path 2014
100 x 450'
Etched granite, mulch, planters, flowers, mixed media
The Path winds through the Lynden Sculpture Garden from the formal garden at its western terminus through the privacy fence to Brown Deer Rd with its constant roar of traffic. The project commemorates the individuals, past, present, and future, who tend the landscape; in dedication to the pursuit of vocation.
Laundry Day 2014
10 x 75'
Latex paint, custom installed door
A mural painted on a wooden privacy fence, facing the high-traffic Brown Deer Rd. Laundry Day proposes a glimpse back in time to when Lynden was a private residence owned by the Bradley Family. Its scene imagines the Bradley’s hanging their laundry in the backyard among 40 acres of monumental sculptures.
Contemporary Plats 2014

Dye sublimated printing on 10 ounce carpet
The piece consisted of two 4.5 x 7' custom-printed carpets installed in the entryway and two 9 x 9', carpets installed in the main gallery. The work incorporates Milwaukee plat maps from 1877 and 1926.
Two Legal Descriptions 2014
1 x 18 ‘
Screen printing on vellum
A poetic juxtaposition of language legally outlining the Bradley Estate, now Lynden Sculpture Garden, and more modest parcel of land owned by the artist. Aesthetic comparison of the respective passages offers unexpected intrigue.
