Gallery Exhibition:
August 5 - September 30, 2021
Now in its ninth year, Social Photography brings together cell phone pictures of participants from a wide range of disciplines, generations, and places. In the spirit of broad access to cell phone image making technology, the emphasis of the project leans toward sensibility and the anecdotal over skill and mastery of the medium of photography.

It was fun to talk with Angelina Mosher Salazar for a recent episode of WUWM’s Bubbler Talk. The segment is now available online. Shout out the curious people who took the time to write their local radio station to learn about the work.
America Pastime: Time Signatures in G /
Time Signatures in G is part meditation part thriller part attempt to push back against time’s philosophical bottom line. The work is inspired by the experience of being immersed in the landscape while Trashing.
America Pastime looks to other people’s litter as a way to connect to the land and cultures that thrive here. We’ve been busy using all the tools at our disposal to distill and share that experience, recently branching into the world of NFT’s. A uniquely watermarked edition of Time Signatures in G was the second AP video to be minted as an NFT where it was purchased by an anonymous buyer. Check out our collection at OpenSea.

Sky blue background. Razzle-dazzle color combination in the America Pastime post 3.30.21. An unexpected Trashing session while enjoying the evolution of urban landscapes. Visiting the site of an ancient quarry now parking lot for one of the local universities and, apparently, once upon a time a landfill for the Technical College.
America Pastime Choreography for Our Anniversary /

Steve Burnham’s successful bid on Comforts #1 as a bday gift for Deborah . . . 3. Spending summer months talking tutorials and trash with Natalie Kuehl . . . 4. Chuck Stebelton investing in a triptych on my bday . . . 5. when I tripped and you fell for me . . . 6. Natural Symphony #1 . . . 7. Stacy Blint collecting multiple images sustaining the project and positioning herself as the lender-of-note for any future retrospective. To name only a few in a random order and selection.
